What to Wear in LA

by | Mar 15, 2021 | Fashion

It can be really difficult to decide what to wear in LA when one second you see celebrities like LeBron James just chilling at your new neighbor’s house, and another you see teens just like you walking down Fairfax. Especially with the changing weather in LA, it can be very hard to pick out something to wear. I hate being underdressed but being overdressed can be equally embarrassing. And LA is filled with people who wear designer clothing and others that are just like you and me.

I love to go shopping on Melrose or Fairfax, but I end up spending at least 30 mins trying to figure out what to wear. Whether or not I should be wearing something as casual as pajamas, or as fancy and a velvet dress with heels, finding an in-between can be like finding a needle in a haystack. However, LA is a mix of styles, you can walk down any big street and turn to one side and see someone in their thrift store jeans, and the other side would have someone in a $1k fur jacket.

If you want to blend in or look like everyone else, you can wear what’s trending. You can wear things from places like Target, or high-end brands like Dior, Chanel, or Gucci, whatever the brand, as long as it’s trendy, then you will blend in. For others who love to stand out from the crowd, wearing bright colors, and extravagant looks will definitely do that for you. If you wear bland colors you will blend in, but if you wear bold colors you will stand out. You can wear a deep blue velvet gown or a giant leopard print fur coat, and you will 100% stand out.

One of the best parts of Los Angeles is that anything goes, what matters is that you feel good in what you wear. That is the reason why you can look at anyone, and no matter what they are wearing, they look amazing in it, cause they feel good in it. You can wear anything and look good, as long as you are confident, comfortable, and happy.

How Social Media Has Impacted Fashion Trends

How Social Media Has Impacted Fashion Trends

Every decade had its main fashion trends that stayed for the full 10 years, we all know 70’s hippy, 80’s neon, 90’s grunge, and y2k futuristic with a retro edge, but what about the 2010s. 2010 to 2012 was still y2k style, 2013 to 2016 was all boy bands, and then 2017 to 2019 were all repeats of the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s. It was all over the place, and so far 2021 hasn’t been any different, starting with y2k fashion, then the 90’s, and finally its own style with hints of both the 90s and ’00s.

Let Idiots Burn In Hell

Let Idiots Burn In Hell

When you are expressing yourself through fashion, people will comment on your outfit. And maybe you will take their opinions and think them through, cry, or just ignore them like the badass you are. Peoples opinions are like flies, buzzing around you and constantly annoying. On rare occasion, they will be helpful, but on the more realistic side, they are the most frustrating thing that can occur when it comes to fashion. Whether it is simple, “Your outfit is very bold,” with hints of disgust. Or the straight up, “What are you wearing?” The one sentence that can send you over the edge.
