Adapting Your Closet For The Upcoming Months

Adapting Your Closet For The Upcoming Months

This fall is gonna be all about showing off your clothes that you weren’t able to because of quarantine. This fall is also gonna be about hanging out with friends if you haven’t done so this summer. So, as the first blog post in over 2 months I wanted to tell you what these upcoming months are gonna look like. And to start it off I am going to tell you about how shopping is gonna look in these next few weeks before the end of summer.

Let Idiots Burn In Hell

Let Idiots Burn In Hell

When you are expressing yourself through fashion, people will comment on your outfit. And maybe you will take their opinions and think them through, cry, or just ignore them like the badass you are. Peoples opinions are like flies, buzzing around you and constantly annoying. On rare occasion, they will be helpful, but on the more realistic side, they are the most frustrating thing that can occur when it comes to fashion. Whether it is simple, “Your outfit is very bold,” with hints of disgust. Or the straight up, “What are you wearing?” The one sentence that can send you over the edge.

Get Out and Do Something

Get Out and Do Something

Getting yourself out of the house and doing something that isn’t staring at your phone all day can be tricky, especially during a pandemic. But because teens need to be social and not trapped in one space for a while, getting out and doing things is important. Also seeing your friends and getting boba is VERY important. Whether that was going for a jog, or hanging out with friends, getting out of the house, made me much happier and easygoing. Now, because of vaccines, there is less worry with getting together with people outside of your household and going to stores.

Live While You’re Young

Live While You’re Young

When fashion comes along, as a teenager, I know how hard it can be to not just dress like you’re 20. But what we need to remember is to live while we’re young. I’ve realized recently, that my fashion and style are slowly becoming things that someone would wear in college, or when my outfits are more businessy, to an interview. But it also wasn’t until recently, when I was so caught up in my blog, and following my fashion dreams, that I realized that I’m in 7th grade, not high school. There is no reason for me to be wanting to intern with a fashion designer now or become a model so that I will have extra money to spend on clothes, or even feel like I need to be living up to my idols.

Shopping Too Much During Quarantine

Shopping Too Much During Quarantine

Covid has been tough on all of us, and I am happy to be able to say that it should be coming to a close soon. Everyone had their way of coping during the pandemic, and for me that was shopping. Which has had quite a negative impact on my bank account. It got so bad, that I would be proud of myself if I made it a week without buying some fashion thing that was trending. And let’s just say that my closet is currently bursting with clothes that I have bought this year. From 7 new pairs of shoes, to 9 new bags, finding matching pieces has not been a problem.

Retail Therapy

Retail Therapy

Everyone has that one thing that makes them calm and collected, or maybe happy on a sad day. For me, and others alike, retail therapy is my zen. It wasn’t until a few weeks ago that I found out that retail therapy was the proper name for shopping because it makes you happy. And I can easily say that I’m happy all the time, mostly because I find myself shopping online or in store, 24/7. However, for some, shopping is just another to-do list activity, that they don’t find calming or fun.

A Passion for Fashion … and Maybe More?

A Passion for Fashion … and Maybe More?

Everyone has that one thing that they love, dancing, math, writing. That thing that they could do for hours and feel like minutes. That drives them to be their true selves. For me, it is fashion, or somewhere around there, maybe like a category? Art? I don’t think...

Be Bold But Be You

Be Bold But Be You

I previously wrote about being brave with your fashion, but what happens when you are bold, but not comfortable in what you are wearing? When you put on an amazing outfit, but you look at it again and realize it is not something you would wear. This happens a lot with me, I pick out a really cute outfit, that is both bold and brave, but I quickly realize that it is not something I like. Then halfway through the day, I start to not feel good in it, because it isn’t me.

The Pink Wall on Melrose

As most may know, there is a pink wall on Melrose that has a ton of people coming from all over the world to get a picture for their Instagram. It is literally a plain pink wall that surrounds the store, Paul Smith. With more than 100,000 people coming a year to take a selfie, what makes it so special?

What to Wear in LA

What to Wear in LA

It can be really difficult to decide what to wear in LA when one second you see celebrities like LeBron James just chilling at your new neighbor’s house, and another you see teens just like you walking down Fairfax. Especially with the changing weather in LA, it can be very hard to pick out something to wear. I hate being underdressed but being overdressed can be equally embarrassing. And LA is filled with people who wear designer clothing and others that are just like you and me.
